Join Us Sunday

Living Water Service (Communion)
8:30 a.m. in the Chapel (entrance on Reid Dr.)

St. Luke’s begins each Sunday with this quiet, simple celebration of  Communion.

Infuse Worship Service
9:00 a.m. in Moore Hall

This up-beat, energetic service features contemporary Christian music from our Praise Band, and plenty of swaying, clapping, and usually even a witty wise-crack or two from the congregation. Most services also include a creative “interactive” twist designed to keep the congregation talking and thinking about the scripture upon which Pastor Pamela’s sermon is based.  Communion is served in this service on the first Sunday of each month.

Sunday School
10a.m. at various locations throughout the church

St. Luke’s has 3 long-standing, friendly adult Sunday school classes, and a variety of classes for children. All are welcome to any of our classes. Upon your arrival on Sunday morning, just introduce yourself to any church member and he or she will be happy to help you find a class. (For those attending the Infuse Service, one of the Sunday School classes is also billed as a “discussion group” based on that week’s sermon and meets immediately after the service in the same Moore Hall.) Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.

Traditional Worship
11 a.m. in the Sanctuary

This service is usually our best attended, and it includes all of the traditional elements of United Methodist Church service. Hymns are lead by our renowned choir and piano player (who are often referred to as “simply amazing”) with plenty of robust singing support from the congregation.

5th Sundays at St. Luke’s

Our Sunday schedule changes each time there is a 5th Sunday in a month. On those days, we have a single worship service at 10 a.m. followed by a pot luck lunch filled with lots of St Luke’s style fun and love. (The 8:30 Living Water Communion service is the only thing that doesn’t change on 5th Sundays.) The details of each 5th Sunday celebration are announced at least two weeks ahead time during services, on this website, and in church publications. So be on the look-out! Here’s the remaining 5th Sunday dates for 2012: March 31, June 30, September 29, December 29.
