Reflections Upon A Blessed Event

The hour of this writing is of significance. It’s 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

As one of the organizers of St. Luke’s first Flea Market this weekend, I’ve had very little rest since Wednesday. Before I finally landed in bed just a few hours ago, I “forgot” to set an alarm to make sure I was up in time for today’s worship. My wife lapsed too, it seems.

But here I am at this supposedly “God forsaken” hour fully refreshed and eager to respond to God’s call to share these thoughts He has inspired. (Cheryl and I will both be full of energy at church later this morning, I am sure.)

Plans for St. Luke’s November 5 Flea Market are taking hold with at least 10 vendors confirmed as of this writing, and many other potential vendors have indicated they will likely sign up.

Here is a list of some of the goods that vendors have indicated they will sell: hand made crosses,  sea shell art,  jewelry,  hand crocheted gifts , small electronics,  gently used furniture and clothing,  CDs and records, computer accessories, office supplies.

Flea Market Set For Nov. 5

Need to sell some stuff; new items, arts and crafts, or extra unused treasures? It’s time to start thinking about getting things together and reserving your booth at the St. Luke’s Flea Market. The market will be located in Moore Hall and the church court yard. In exchange for a $40.00 booth rental fee, vendors will be given a 6ft table and 2 chairs to use in a 6′ X 10′ booth to display their wares. A number of side attractions are in the works, including Ysidro’s famous barbeque.

Booth reservations are now being accepted on a first-come-first-served basis in the church office. (To have your items included in the publicity for the sale, you should have your reservation complete by Oct. 3.)  For more information, click here to download of copy of the flea market vendor contract. You can also contact the church office.
